William, When I was there many moons ago, there was Crandon Park Zoo, and an old coconut plantation, (beach side), not far from the zoo. I remember Bristol's and I think there was Vernon's drug store. Also, the Key Biscayne Hotel where many vacations were spent, before moving to the Key. I was there when there was a drawbridge and license tags for your car, to cross Rickenbacker. A lot of good memories, for sure!

Celeste… grew up a short walk from Cape Florida back when the wind whispered through the Australian pines (no more since Andrew). The lighthouse of my youth was exposed brick; you could clearly see the height extension from after the Indian raid. At some point it got painted white! I waded out to get this photo on a film camera which was purchased in the 70s from Bristol’s on the Key.
