Artist's Description
As the ecological disaster unfolds from the oil plumes in the northern Gulf of Mexico, the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center braces for the worst way south in the Florida Keys. This morning, all is pristine and clear as pelicans stand sentinel along the shoreline. Although tourism has vanished in the keys, no signs of the disaster have yet reached far enough south to taint this scene.
