A 1960's vintage houseboat in use at Jimbo's lagoon on Virginia Key, Florida. This lagoon was the stage set for the TV-show Flipper. This type of houseboat has been popular since the 60's for tourist vacation rentals throughout South Florida, Biscayne Bay, Florida Bay and the Keys.

Ove, no worries. Alligators are fresh water beasts, and this is salt water. Only have to worry about crocs in this water (quite rare!!!).

Great shot and interesting info! A little thought though: Is this the same water as the alligator was swimming in? If so we all have our different view on "vacation". ;) Thinking about that swing chair in the tree.... /Ove R
