Sometimes lens flare can work to your benefit! I love the artistic effect.
This wonderful sunset over the Florida Everglades includes a starburst due to the f/22 setting, as well as an interesting multi-colored lens flare (NO FILTERS USED).
The image is a three exposure tonemap, and a flock of ibis birds flew through the scene, leaving a ghostly imprint on the sky.
Lightly processed in Photomatix and Aperture.
Shot using a Canon 5D with a Tamron 28-300 vc lens. Tripod mount.
Location: Tamiami Trail just west of Krome Avenue along the western levee on the edge of the Everglades National Park, Florida.
