Congrats on your sale!

William, When I was there many moons ago, there was Crandon Park Zoo, and an old coconut plantation, (beach side), not far from the zoo. I remember Bristol's and I think there was Vernon's drug store. Also, the Key Biscayne Hotel where many vacations were spent, before moving to the Key. I was there when there was a drawbridge and license tags for your car, to cross Rickenbacker. A lot of good memories, for sure!

Celeste… grew up a short walk from Cape Florida back when the wind whispered through the Australian pines (no more since Andrew). The lighthouse of my youth was exposed brick; you could clearly see the height extension from after the Indian raid. At some point it got painted white! I waded out to get this photo on a film camera which was purchased in the 70s from Bristol’s on the Key.

Been inside of this lighthouse, many times. Lived on the Key. Was "Stiltsville" still there, when you took this shot?

About William Wetmore

I sincerely hope you find beauty and relevance in my images. For me, photography is a spiritual pursuit, almost a meditative practice, through which I appreciate the beauty of the world and share that appreciation with you. If you buy my artwork, please drop me an email to let me know what you liked about the image you chose! When I'm behind the camera, I seek out unusual subjects, new perspectives, and strive to capture the mood and totality of those subjects the way I see them. From minute details to wide vistas, each composition is considered and contemplated. I'm always looking for new ideas, and would be thrilled if you suggest topics of interest for me to attempt to capture. And, if you see something in here that you like, but...
